It’s said that friends are the family you choose, and judging by the group that joins together every year at Camp Nice, our family has never been stronger. Now in its 11th year, Camp Nice attracts outdoor enthusiasts from around the country to our private refuge in southeastern New York to gather around the campfire to celebrate their love for nature and adventure. It’s this annual tradition that has brought camp alumni back year after year while additional members continue to get welcomed into the fold.
New educational workshops and activities ranged from tennis tournaments, textile, macramé, paracord weaving and pickling classes, and a sound bath ceremony to compliment the camp classics like boating, hiking, fishing, archery, yoga and arts & crafts. Nightly dinners curated by special guests offered delicious culinary delights as endless beer and crafted cocktails at the Log Bar kept our thirsty campers satisfied. Nice Radio broadcasted live throughout the day while the upgraded sound system at Rickster’s Nightclub was crushed by an all-star line up of rotating DJ’s well into the late nights and beyond.
The support of our generous partners is always much appreciated and yet again we had a plethora of products that made camp extra nice. The coolers are stocked 24/7 with unlimited Fat Tire Ale, Voodoo Ranger IPAs and Hardcharged Tea. As usual, our friends at Long Island’s Matchbook Distilling Company supplied their private label Whiskey, Vodka, Moonshine, Wine and specialty liqueurs to elevate the mixology madness. Franklin & Sons and Jones Soda Co. provided the mixers, and for those who don’t imbibe or simply needed a night off we had the distinct flavors of Moss and Aplos Non-Alcoholic Spirits. And if you really wanted to get to a higher level, Mary Jones Delta Nine THC Soda, Shooters and Gummies were on hand for campers’ recreational pleasure.
Of course, all those drinks stayed extra icey with our custom Yeti Mugs and Ramblers. Grillo’s Pickles are essential and the perfect compliment for Cheeky Sandwiches, especially with some Queen Majesty Hot Sauce on the side. Cocojune Organic Yogurt and Percolated Coffee Co. got the mornings started right. And Mike’s Hot Honey came correct with Utz Potato Chips, Bush’s Grillin’ Beans and the classic Hot Honey itself which went hard on pizza nights.
Huge thanks to all our campers and Rangers – it’s a massive team effort and each and every one of you brings something unique and valuable, and it’s your harmonious personalities that contribute to the overall good vibes.
